Record year for Just Credit Union

Members of a not-for-profit community bank will be told of a record year at its forthcoming annual meeting.

Just Credit Union, which operates in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, has just achieved its biggest-ever growth in loans, savings and membership.

The annual meeting on March 20th  will be told that loans and savings are up by 15% and membership by 12%.

Just Credit Union has lent over £13m since it began in 2001 and currently has £1.7m out on loan as well as £2.5m in members’ savings.

Members will be told that the continuing growth shows that Just Credit Union is meeting the needs of the people who live or work in Shropshire and Telford.

Just Credit Union say all the money circulates in Shropshire and Telford and therefore benefits the local economy.

The annual meeting at The Shirehall, Shrewsbury, starts at 6.00 pm and there will be free refreshments.

Members are asked to reply by March 15th to 1A Castle Gates, Shrewsbury, SY1 2AQ, email or telephone 01743 252325.
