"Huge honour" for Just Credit Union

A 'huge honour' is how Just Credit Union has described its shortlisting for a major national award.

The Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin not-for-profit community bank has made the shortlist for the UK's Ethical Financial Services Provider of the Year in the Money Age Awards.

And it is fitting that the winners will be announced on October 18th coinciding with International Credit Union Day.

Just Credit Union's Chief Officer, Karen Farrow, said  "Making the shortlist is a huge honour and testimony to the fact that we place improving the financial well-being of our members above all else.”

Money Age Awards celebrate excellence, professionalism and innovation in the hugely competitive, but critically important, personal finance space.

Now in its third year, Money Age Awards honour the banks, building societies, savings and investment providers as well as mortgage companies and personal finance specialists that have proved themselves ahead of the game in the field of consumer finance with their product provision, innovation, focus on value and customer service.

The entries will be judged by an independent panel of highly experienced judges spanning the various fields of personal finance.  The winners will be announced at an awards event on October 18th 2018 in London, when International Credit Union Day will celebrate the spirit of the global credit union movement and the great work that it does."

Just Credit Union Chair, Pat Buchanan, added  "Making the shortlist not only recognises the hard work the Just Credit Union team puts in every day, but also the ethical manner in which it operates."
