• Recruit at least 6 people from your community (preferably 10!) each with 4-6 hours to spare per month Contact the just Credit Union office (01743 252325) • A meeting will be arranged between just Credit Union training officer and the volunteers • A training plan will be developed at times most convenient to volunteers The training will help you to: • establish systems and procedures • understand how credit unions operate (history and philosophy) • provide appropriate promotional materials • ensure that your group is covered under just Credit Union's Bonding Insurance • attain an accredited level 2 Open College network module BENEFITS IN BEING A COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER As an individual you will help just Credit Union expand its services to local communities across Shropshire by: • Establishing local collection points • Establishing branch services • Promoting the credit union to friends, neighbours and community groups • Being part of a local development team The benefits for you as an individual will be: • To train as a community volunteer • To learn how to administer a local financial service • To use new and existing skills for personal development |
